| Comments | Well, there are caddis all over the place but the river is now really high and muddy. We had a couple of great days over the weekend with lots of fish up on caddis. Unfortunately, the Yellowstone is pretty much unfishable at the moment and may remain that way until late June. It is supposed to be a bit cooler over the next few days, but might not be enough to clear things up. Lets hope for another window. |

| Comments | Spring rates are now in effect, only $75 until June 15th. There has been some pretty decent surface activity with Midges and Baetis if it isn't too windy. Try small nymphs and midge pupa if nothing is eating on the surface. Eggs and San Juan Worms are also tough to beat right now, as the creeks still have river fish in to spawn. Fish are still on redds, so watch where you wade and stay out of the creek whenever possible. It sure is disapointing this time of year to see people who know better out there terrorizing visibly spawning fish. |

| Comments | The lower Madison is a good option right now. Caddis are just starting to appear and there are still good numbers of Baetis. Double nymph rigs under a bobber or a bugger, sculpin or a crawfish in tandem with a beadhead dropper have been pretty effective. Caddis should start pouring off any day now. Still not much going on in the upper river besides bobber fishing. There has been decent Baetis activity on the days when it is nasty out. Options are still limited, as the sections from Quake Lake to McAtee Bridge and Ennis Brige to the Ennis Lake are closed to spring fishing from March 1st through May 17th. |

| Comments | Fishing has been great over the past couple of weeks. Caddis just started, along with March Browns and Baetis. The river has come up quite a bit in the past few days and is now pretty dirty. The West Boulder is blown and putting in quite a bit of mud. Above the confluence things look a bit better but spring run-off is on its way. |
